Helitech International issues March update

Our decision last year to become an annual conference and exhibition and to move around key European cities was not taken lightly but it’s clear that industry from around the world backed the change as Helitech International 2013 – staged at ExCeL, London – attracted over 5,600 attendees, of whom 30 per cent included senior management and 38 per cent were international visitors.

We see the 2014 location in Amsterdam as a major benefit to drive new business for all exhibiting companies. Most of our current customers already conduct business not only across Europe but worldwide, so this venue offers ideal networking opportunities to enhance their development strategies.

By improving the format of the 2013 event and introducing a much more comprehensive conference programme covering all industry sectors on a pan European basis, the October show will again offer visitors a ‘one-stop shop’ that meets all their purchasing, education and training needs.

This venue is world-class and features some of the most successful events in the world and provides all the facilities that we require, including flying arrangements as well as excellent transport links and great facilities for exhibitors to entertain customers.

In terms of the rotary market, a recent SDI analysis entitled “The Global Commercial Helicopter Market 2013-2023” included an expected growth of 3.08 per cent during the forecast period. The commercial segment continues to grow on the back of key sectors including offshore oil and gas exploration and production, Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS), VIP transport, law enforcement and public safety.

As the focus of the show falls on civil and parapublic helicopters, featuring the growing sectors above as well the expanding simulation and training segment, I have included some recent news and activities from Helitech International 2014 exhibitors such as AgustaWestland, Bell Helicopter, Russian Helicopters and Waypoint Leasing, which I hope will be of interest. On behalf of Reed Exhibitions and the EHA, we look forward to welcoming all visitors and exhibitors at Helitech International 2014 in October.”
