ACE has signed a 3-year Long Term Agreement with AgustaWestland Philadelphia Corporation for the manufacture of AW139, AW119, and AW109 composite and metal bonded airframe components. ACE has been manufacturing components for AWPC for the past five years. This agreement covers 132 different part numbers.

“We are looking forward to working with AWPC over the next three years and beyond,” said ACE President & Founder Leigh Sargent. “This latest agreement gives us great visibility to AgustaWestland’s demands, allowing ACE to efficiently process and manage material inventories. We value the confidence AWPC places in ACE as we continue to provide value, uncompromised quality, and on-time delivery.”

Last year, ACE made significant improvements to the OEM Production facility including adding a new 27.5′ x 13.5′ x 6.5′ Cronus moving bridge 5-axis CNC machining center with +/- .005″ accuracy. ACE also added a fourth autoclave to the cure room. ACE implemented a new scheduling system and also achieved Nadcap accreditation, which is the most comprehensive composite manufacturing quality control accreditation for special processes.

Representatives from AWPC witnessed these improvements first hand during a visit to ACE in September last year.  This “Rate Readiness Review” gave ACE the opportunity to highlight recent infrastructure investments.

“We come to ACE for quality and flexibility,” said Francesco Reale, Senior Manager, Commodity Management at AWPC. “ACE consistently demonstrates an ability and willingness to grow with AWPC. This agreement allows us to meet the unique demands of our customers by providing higher quality products at shorter lead-times.”
