Italian eyewear company Luxottica buys AW139

Italian premium brand Luxottica will soon take delivery of an AgustaWestland AW139, recently seen test flying from the factory in Italy. With net sales exceeding €7.3 billion in 2013, over 73,000 employees and a strong global presence, Luxottica is a leader in the design, manufacture, distribution and sales of premium, luxury and sports eyewear.

The company bought a Sikorsky S76B I-LXCA in 1993, and then a Dauphin I-LUXA in 2002. The AW139 – serial 31549 – has been seen flying with test registration I-EASH, but also new registration I-LUXT covered over with a thin sticker.

Luxottica is best known for its premium eyewear brands, including Oakley, Persol and Ray-Ban, while others include Vogue Eyewear, Persol, Oliver Peoples, Alain Mikli and Arnette while its license brands include Giorgio Armani, Bvlgari, Burberry, Chanel, Coach, Dolce & Gabbana, Donna Karan, Michael Kors, Paul Smith, Polo Ralph Lauren, Prada, Starck Eyes, Stella McCartney, Tiffany, Tory Burch and Versace.
