Bristow Norway AS has secured a three year contract for the supply of helicopter services to Lundin Norway AS and Det norske oljeselskap ASA. The Contract is the result of a cooperation agreement between Lundin Norway AS and Det norske oljeselskap ASA to secure safe, efficient and predictable flights to Edvard Grieg and Ivar Aasen in the coming years, operated by Lundin Norway and Det norske respectively.

The contract will be administrated and operated from Bristow’s base at Stavanger Airport in Sola.

Bristow will dedicate one Sikorsky S-92 helicopter to the three year contract which will commence in Q1 2015, with the potential for three two-year extensions and additional helicopter support as required by the two companies.

Speaking about the deal Arne Martin Gilberg, Area Manager Norway, said: “We are pleased that we have been awarded this contract by Lundin Norway and Det norske and look forward to continuing our strong relationship, based on safe, efficient service, with both companies. The S-92 is the most advanced aircraft in Sikorsky’s civil product line and we operate 17 of these in Norway at present. The S-92 is a twin-engine helicopter with a flight range of 573km at a full capacity of two crew and 19 passengers on board making it an ideal choice for this contract.”
