Helisota, an international provider of integrated maintenance, repair and overhaul services for rotorcraft aviation, is delighted to announce the start of a new cooperation with the Scientific and Industrial Company FED, the original manufacturer of various components for Mi-8/17/171 helicopters and Antonov airplanes. Under the cooperation Helisota shall act as the OEM’s official representative in the global MRO market.
The partnership is based on three recently signed agreements, which cover general long-term cooperation between Helisota and FED, as well the supply and maintenance of aircraft components worldwide. With Helisota’s support, global Mi-8/17/171 operators will gain more prompt and easier access to various pressure reducers, actuators, reversible proportioners, fuel-supply units and other FED products. Moreover, Helisota will also provide component solutions for the operators of Аn-72, An-148, An-158 and other Antonov airplanes.
“Today there are over four thousands of Mi-8/17/171 helicopters operated for civil and military purposes worldwide. Many of them – in various emerging regions like Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, etc. However, despite such a large amount of operated helicopters, many carriers still face certain difficulties when it comes to prompt spare parts supply and/or repair. With this in mind, we are certain that our vast customer support network combined with the FED’s first class products will allow the Mi-8/17/171 operators to minimize the downtime of their fleets and cut the maintenance-related costs,” shares Anatolij Legenzov, the CEO of Helisota. “We would also like to thank the FED team for their trust and reliance. We hope that our partnership will allow the OEM to expand the geography of its products.”
