Oceania Aviation’s Components Team’s tour of Australia to conduct 269A3150 Damper load/stroke tests for Schweizer 300 operators per Alert Service Bulletin B-304 or C1-041 was a resounding success. Peter Hatley, Oceania Aviation’s Components’ Divisional Manager said the team were warmly welcomed by Australian operators and were able to perform the required tests on 50 dampers in Moorabbin, Melbourne and Redcliffe, Brisbane during their 5 day tour. Unfortunately their services were in such high demand that the team have brought a number back with them to conduct the required tests at Oceania Aviation’s facilities back in Auckland, New Zealand. Given this demand, Peter Hatley invites other Australian operators to register their interest for a future Damper tour at pete@ohl.co.nz and if location is an issue, Peter has offered to absorb the freight costs of returning your tested dampers to you if you can get them to him at Oceania Aviation’s Auckland Facilities at Ardmore, New Zealand.
