Britannia 2000, based in Maidenhead UK, announces the completion of the delivery of Britannia airborne mission equipment on a UN Mi-8 in Senegal.

Our partner ASU Baltija (Lithuania) was the prime contractor in this project and recently delivered the upgraded aircraft to the customer. The project was completed on time and within budget.

As part of the upgrade an EO/IR surveillance turret was fitted, with Britannia being selected as the mission equipment provider. The aircraft has now been returned to operational service on vital UN missions in Senegal.

Ralph Jones, Managing Director of Britannia 2000, commented:
“The Mi-8 helicopter provides a vital service to Senegalese communities with the United Nations. Britannia 2000 is very proud to support the UN by delivering an advanced surveillance capability for the foreseeable future in an important part of the world.”
