Already renowned for state of the art facilities and luxury conveniences, Abell Point Marina is about to add an additional service to it’s concierge offering with the introduction of heli-transfers from May of this year.

Responding to feedback from guests, the Marina has added the new services in order to transit customers to their vessel quicker so more time can be spent out on the water .

Commencing in May, customers will have access to a heli-service which will meet four flights daily into Proserpine Airport and transfer customers of the marina direct to their vessel in under 10 minutes. For those wanting to travel further afield, the heli-service will also take flights from the marina out over the Whitsundays, making exploring the area a sea breeze.

“We really want to help our guests as much as possible throughout their stay,” explained Paul Darrouzet, “So from the minute we meet your flight with a heli-transfer, to the second you leave on your greater journey, we’ll be there for you.”

New local heli operator Ron Harris from Heli Taxi said “I am looking forward to providing more flexibility for visitors of the region to access the Whitsundays by air, which will include launching from Abell Point Marina out to Knuckle Reef, Whitehaven Beach and Heart Reef.”

Once the start date in May is confirmed for first flights, a pricing list will be available through the marina office and Heli Taxi website.
