Breeze-Eastern Corporation (NYSE MKT: BZC), the aerospace industry’s only dedicated hoist and winch specialist, today announced the milestone delivery of more than 1,000 BL-29900 rescue hoist systems.

“Building and delivering these 1,000 hoists is a point of pride for our team,” said President and CEO Brad Pedersen. “This milestone is a powerful reminder that our products support important, lifesaving missions.”

Breeze-Eastern’s BL-29900 is the industry’s premier rescue hoist. Its unique Reactive Overload Clutch (ROC) feature is a next-generation improvement over standard slip-clutch technology used by other manufacturers. The ROC offers superior protection under a hoist cable’s high steady-state loads as well as high shock loads. The company’s family of 29900 rescue hoists provides the highest speed, fastest acceleration and unlimited duty cycle for all-weather operations. These hoists are available for new production helicopters and for retrofit on existing rotorcraft.

The 1,000 hoists included recent deliveries of BL-29900 rescue hoists in support of a $13.5 million order received last year from the U.S. Army’s Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) to equip BLACK HAWK helicopters used by active Army, Reserve and National Guard Units.

“As the rescue hoist market leader, we’re proud to support this enhancement of the BLACK HAWK fleet’s capabilities and contribute to mission success,” Pedersen said.

A range of rescue hoist products, including the BL-29900 and the company’s new MissionView™ Situational Awareness System, will be on display in exhibit 476 during the Army Aviation Mission Solutions Summit, March 29-31 in Nashville.

Breeze-Eastern Corporation is the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of high-performance lifting and pulling devices for helicopters, military cargo aircraft, and other aerospace/defense platforms, including rescue hoists, winches and cargo hooks, and weapons-lifting systems.
