Operator Skycam Helicopters is one of very few in France to fly helicopters built outside the country.  Products from the Airbus factory at Marignane (and its various predecessors over the years) have always found greater favour with operators right across France, and indeed Skycam do have two AS350B2 and one EC130T2.

Skycam, however, have gone against the trend and recently added a fourth AgustaWestland AW109SP GrandNew to their fleet.  The latest example of the type is F-HMPB, serial 22340, the 140th GrandNew.  A further 40 of the very similar military-spec “Nexus” development model takes the combined production total to date of around 180.

Last Wednesday Skycam flew their new GrandNew and sister ship F-HOLY to London Heliport in the UK’s capital city.  Skycam also operate F-GSNS and F-HIDE.
