Able Aerospace Services has introduced two new solutions for the Bell 412 pivot bearing: an FAA approved PMA and the company’s first overhaul and exchange solution for the OEM part. This announcement expands Able’s already broad elastomerics program, including comprehensive alternatives for the Bell 407.

“We are a long-standing, one-source elastomerics solution for Bell owners and operators,” said Able Aerospace Services Vice President John Jackson. “Our clients relayed a need for the Bell 412 pivot bearing, and we responded by doing what we do best, which is to deliver a safe, high-quality, cost-saving alternative.” Able officially launched its Bell 407 elastomerics program in 2010 and, since that time, has logged more than two thousand repairs and PMAs, saving customers more than $10 million over buying new. It will continue to add to its Bell Expanded Repairs and PMA lines as demand requires.

“We are constantly adding parts to our development pipeline, and always encouraging customers to submit PMA candidates for consideration,” said Anthony Saenz, President of Able Aerospace, Inc. “This pivot bearing is the latest example of Able answering a market need. We’re excited to deliver this advantage to 412 operators.”

Able’s new Bell 412 pivot bearing is available under Able PMA PN: 4AA-010-106-101 (OEM PN: 412-010- 106-101). Repairs and exchanges are available for OEM PM: 412-010-106-101.

Based in Mesa, Arizona, Able operates one of the world’s largest helicopter repair facilities and an inventory of more than 8,000 certified PMA parts and component repairs. Its proprietary, value-driven PMA parts for Bell, Sikorsky and Agusta operators are FAA certified and competitively priced, allowing operators to significantly reduce their operating cost with components that are available on demand.
