Viterra is pleased to announce that it has partnered with STARS to sponsor its 2016 calendar. As part of the agreement, the calendars will be available for purchase at many Viterra facilities across Western Canada. The partnership was formally launched earlier today at an event at Viterra’s Balgonie grain terminal, with farm customers, employees and local media on hand to learn more about the campaign.

“We’re excited to be partnering with a great organization like STARS, and support the important work they do in providing access to emergency medical care for rural residents,” said Kyle Jeworski, Viterra’s President and CEO for North America. “Given our expansive presence across rural Western Canada, including our employees and customer who live in these communities, it makes sense for us to team up with STARS. I’m especially grateful for the support of our employees, who are very enthusiastic about this initiative and have been actively planning employee and customer appreciation events to drive awareness ensure that our campaign is a success.”

“The STARS calendar campaign is our second largest single fundraising program,” said Andrea Robertson, STARS President and CEO. “This year, we are celebrating 30 years of care in the air. The 2016 Calendar features stories of our VIPs (Very Important Patients), photos of STARS and our emergency service partners, and a history of how STARS came to be. We at STARS are greatly appreciative of all the support we receive. We strive to provide the best in patient care, and this is possible only through the support and generosity of partners like Viterra.”

The calendars will be available until December 11. Those interested in purchasing a calendar, or making a donation to STARS, are encouraged to contact their local Viterra facility for more information.
