Following our exclusive story reporting the first pair of Sikorsky S92s had been put in storage by Bond Helicopters Australia, we can confirm the second pair have joined them.

Our story on 10th December reported that VH-NYW (serial 920232) and VH-NYZ (serial 920233) had both been ferried right across Australia and had been put into storage at Caloundra in Queensland in mid October and early December respectively.

We were only able to guess at that stage about the situation with the second pair registered, namely VH-NWD (serial 920265) and VH-NWV (serial 920267), but we can now confirm from sources locally that these brand new aircraft arrived at Caloundra on 16th December to join the first pair.

All four helicopters are listed on the Australian register as owned by Trans Rotor Ltd at a UK address which equates to Banco Santander’s London office.  They are the only S92s operated by Bond in Australia – a further six S92s are on the register there, four with Bristow and two with CHC/Lloyd
