The North Dakota Export Council announced today that Spectrum Aeromed Owner and CEO Dean Atchison has been appointed by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker to serve on the North Dakota District Export Council (ND DEC).
“It is an honor to be asked to serve the ND DEC, and the United States Department of Commerce,” said Atchison. “The products we manufacture in Fargo, North Dakota are used around the world and we export our products all over the world. Our company has navigated through the rigorous requirements of global exports for more than two decadesnow. Making sure that not only North Dakota and Minnesota companies, but also any American company can export goods and services is imperative to the success of our national economy. I believe by serving the ND DEC it will enable me to aid companies and help them remain competitive in the ever changing global market.”
The District Export Council is an organization of volunteer leaders from the local business community whose knowledge of international business provides a source of professional advice for local firms. The ND DEC promotes North Dakota companies and their efforts to export products and services around the world through advocacy, education, and mentoring. The North Dakota District Export Council is closely affiliated with the U.S. Commercial Service in North Dakota which covers all of the state and 9 counties in northwestern Minnesota.
“Spectrum Aeromed has become very global under the direction of Dean Atchison, and the North Dakota District Export Council is fortunate to have Dean share his expertise with the export community at large in North Dakota,” said International Trade Specialists, Office Director and Global Rural Team Leader for the U.S. Commercial Services Heather Andrea Ranck.
