Bell has announced today its decision to reduce the workforce further at its plant at Mirabel in Canada by 200 next month, following a reduction by 50 in December, 300 in spring 2015 and a further 150 back in summer 2014.  The latest 200 will be across both production and administrative functions.

Looking to the board of Bell Helicopter in Canada, President Raymond Leduc left in January to become President of Volvo Bus America.  Leduc joined Bell in August 2012 as VP Operations, moving after two years to be VP Engineering before becoming President just eight months later.  His tenure as President lasted just 13 months.

Leduc’s time as President replaced Barry Kohler, who joined Bell in Fort Worth in 2004, moving to Canada to become President in 2010.  Five years later, his move to Executive VP Customer Support and Services back in Texas provided the opportunity for Leduc, but Kohler only stayed in that role seven months before leaving to become President and CEO of Eagle Copters.

Many changes at Mirabel.
