The family of Jeff Pino today issued a statement about the loss of their beloved son, brother and friend on February 5.
“While our hearts are broken, we are comforted by the outpouring of support from people who knew, loved and respected Jeff. He has touched so many lives in so many ways and, though he was taken from us too soon, we know that while he was here he made our world a much better place.
“We are planning a private family memorial service, and others are planning a public tribute to remember and celebrate his life. We will share more details when they become available.
“Many have inquired about how to honor Jeff’s memory. In keeping with his wishes, we have established the Jeff Pino Foundation, that will be dedicated to supporting Veterans, the Red Cross, EAA, the University of Arizona and other efforts that help, support and mentor young people who aspire to become pilots and pursue careers in aviation, aerospace, and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). This was one of Jeff’s dreams for the future and will be his most enduring legacy.”
The family is requesting that donations be made to the Jeff Pino Foundation in lieu of flowers.
