Hamad General Hospital, in Qatari capital of Doha, will expand its current operating theatre facility with a new surgical building and a newly constructed 800-car space multi-storey parking tower.

The facility will offer 17 new surgical theatres with three additional specialist theaters as well as two interventional radiology suites. This facility will also feature dedicated trauma intensive care and surgical intensive care units.

There will also be a new dual rooftop helipad to cater for patients arriving with the ambulance helicopter service.  Hamad currently operates four AgustaWestland AW139 helicopters, as seen in the images with this story

In addition, this facility will have a direct link to the newly constructed Trauma and Emergency Department at Hamad General Hospital to facilitate the rapid transfer of emergency patients.
