HeliOffshore, the global association for safety in the offshore helicopter industry, announced today the appointment of Mr. Andrea Cicero to its board.
Mr. Cicero, chief operating officer for Babcock Mission Critical Services Division, replaces Mr. Bill Tame, chief executive officer, International Division, Babcock International PLC.
HeliOffshore Board chairman, Mr. Bill Chiles, welcomed Mr Cicero: “Our members benefit from a board populated by leaders with a shared commitment to enhancing safety at the frontline. With his extensive industry expertise and safety leadership, Mr. Cicero will play an important role on the board and in HeliOffshore’s ongoing global collaboration for safety,” he said. “I am looking forward to working with Andrea and, on behalf of the board and our members, I want to thank Bill Tame for his considerable contribution to the association and its achievements to date,” said Mr. Chiles.
Mr. Cicero said of his appointment: “Nothing is more important than the safety of those who we carry offshore. As a founding member of HeliOffshore, Babcock has demonstrated a commitment to collaboration for safety and I am keen to continue to share our experiences and best practices to the benefit of the global industry.”
Since its foundation in October 2014, HeliOffshore has enabled a global collaboration that is already delivering safety enhancements to the frontline. Chief executive officer, Gretchen Haskins, also welcomed Mr. Cicero.
“Bill Tame has provided great guidance and support during his time as a board member for HeliOffshore. We are thrilled to have Andrea on the board and members will have the opportunity to meet with him and other board members at HeliOffshore’s Annual Conference next month.”
The HeliOffshore conference, which runs from 11-13 May 2016, will bring together leaders from across the offshore helicopter industry to continue a global collaboration that is already delivering safety improvements at the frontline.
