
Iran’s Health Ministry is in negotiations with Russian Helicopters for a supply of 60 light helicopters Ansat and Kamov Ka-226T. Currently Iran holds 50 Russian helicopters, including Mi-17, Mi-171, Mi-171E, Mi-8MTV, Mi-17V5s.
The Iran Helicopter Support and Renewal Company are also discussing the possibility of creating a helicopter maintenance and repair centre. As reported by The Russia & India Report, a seminar will be held to showcase 25 Russian Helicopters to potential customers and Iranian operators. The helicopters will be the Ka-32A11VS fire fighting helicopters, search and rescue Mi-171A2 helicopters and disaster management and clean up helicopters – Mi26T2.
