Spectrum Aeromed announced today they presented Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity with a check through United Way of Cass Clay for $25,000 on Thursday September 15, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. The presentation took place at the build site located at 3118 32nd Ave S, Moorhead. The donation is in honor of both Spectrum Aeromed and Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity celebrating their 25th anniversaries this year. Construction for the project kicks off September 24th.
“We are ecstatic to have Spectrum Aeromed as a partner on our 25th Anniversary Build,” said Executive Director for Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity Rob Rich. “This $25,000 donation in honor of our shared anniversary will take a major chuck out of the funding needs for this home. It will cover all of our plumbing, lumber, roofing and drywall on this home. More importantly, it will provide Stacy and her family a simple, decent and affordable home for many years to come and help them break their cycle of poverty.”
“We are elated to work with the United Way of Cass Clay for this sponsorship for Habitat for Humanity,” said Chief Operating Officer Chad Kost.  “Dependable shelter is so important to thriving and we are honored to be a part of the process of providing a family with their very own quality home.  Volunteering is part of the very fabric of Spectrum Aeromed. The enthusiasm from everyone involved is very inspiring. Home ownership is part of the American dream.  We are thrilled to empower the home owners to grow and succeed in the future by providing this home.”
Spectrum Aeromed employees have volunteered for numerous United Way projects and initiatives that help local men, women and children in need. This fall their efforts helped to equip 5,854 local students in need with backpacks full of school supplies so that they were confident and ready for the first day of school this fall. Spectrum Aeromed employees have also been present as volunteers at every Hornbacher’s Gobble It Up for United Way $5 Lunch event since the start 7 years ago which has raised more than $26,000 for our community this year.
