The FAA has approved the integration of Garmin 335 and 345 Mode S transponders in the Robinson R22, R44 and R66 range. The newly approved transponders meet the ADS-B Out requirements without the need for an independent GPS system. Estimated at $3,900, the GTX 335 enables owners and operators to respect current regulations and at a very low price. The GTX 345 is tagged at $6,300. The system is based on an ADS-B-In with Bluetooth capability, and is therefore more efficient than its sibling.
