Weststar Aviation Services (WAS) hopes to expand their business outside of Malaysia. They plan to expand in offshore oil and gas projects in South America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Africa.

WAS is currently working within a seven-year PTT Exploration and Production contract in Thailand that started in 2014. The contracts allows them to work with 6 AgustaWestland AW139 helicopters and overall employs 140 people, reports New Straits Times.
