Italy based Mecaer Aviation Group (MAG) has rapidly grown to become a leading international provider of fully integrated landing gear systems for both the fixed and rotor wing markets. MAG is active across multiple sectors that include business, general aviation and high performance basic trainers.

At this year’s NBAA convention, attendees can stop by the MAG booth (1919) where the company has several of its landing gear assemblies on display. This includes gears for the Airbus Helicopters H160, One Aviation Eclipse 550 very light jet and the UTAS/Goodrich nose gear for the Gulfstream G650 business jet. Also on display is the servo actuator and kitted parts that MAG supplies for the Bell Helicopter 505 flight controls and hydraulic system.

Most recently, MAG has been awarded contracts to develop landing gear systems for several major OEM’s. MAG’s responsibilities encompass engineering, system integration and production of complete systems consisting of shock absorbing nose and main gears, steering system, hydraulic or electro mechanical actuation, landing gear control valve, braking system, wheels, brakes, tires and landing gear cockpit controls.

MAG provides landing system solutions to several major OEM’s, the list includes AgustaWestland, Airbus Helicopters, Bell Helicopter Textron, Diamond Aircraft, Hanwha Corporation, One Aviation, Piper Aircraft, Turkish Aerospace Industries and UTAS/Goodrich. MAG has also been recognized as an approved supplier to Northrop Grumman.
