The Revelstoke and District Health Foundation held their first fundraiser this past Monday to help raise funds for the construction of a helipad at Queen Victoria Hospital. The project already has donations from various corporations, non-profits and individuals, but the goal is to reach $465 000.

The idea for a helipad started in 2010, with action being taken last year. They hope to finish construction in 2016, reports Revelstoke Review.
