A group of citizens have started a petition to close the Downtown Manhattan Heliport on the grounds that it is a risk to public safety and health, as well as being a noise complaint to local residential areas. The claims of the ‘Stop the Chop’ petition will be evaluated by the Mayor’s office, reports NY Daily News.
