The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has not yet given clearance on the proposed project of heli-tourism between Vizag and Araku. As reported by Times of India, the DGCA inspected the helipad site and gave suggestions on changes they could make with regards to the helicopter services that are being planned. Meanwhile in Vuda, the helipad near Vuda Park has been fully constructed and awaits use by Skychoppers Private Limited, who are also waiting on the approval of the DGCA.
