Northern Ireland’s annual cost of their air ambulance, the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS), will be split in half. Health Minister Michelle O’Neill has said that the health service will cover £1 million and Air Ambulance NI, the service’s official charity partner, will cover the remaining £1 million, reports The Irish News.
