China’s AC313, their first heavy lift helicopter for civilian use, has passed its airworthiness tests. Changhe Aircraft Industry Co. Ltd commented that the helicopter flew in heavy rain that exceeded 0.03 inches in six minutes. It flew an altitude of 200 to 500 meters at high speeds during the test flight. Xinhua News reported that the craft will be used for EMS, forest fire missions, offshore missions, transportation and medical assistance.
