Dell Seton Medical Centre held their first flight of a simulated trauma case to christen their new helipad. The hospital opens on May 21 and will be the only level 1 trauma centre in Central Texas, reports CBS. The hospital came to a cost of $300 million. Chief of Trauma at Dell Seton, Dr. Brown, has called it the “safety net hospital” as it will mostly see the most critical patients in Central Texas. EMS work will be done with STAR Flight.
