Wise County Lifeteam 68 was awarded the Air Evac Regional Service Award this year for their outstanding community outreach programmes. Lisa Ponce, Programme Director, has stated that they wish to be there for the community during the good times too, not just the bad. Some of the events they attend include school career days, awareness functions such as Shattered Dreams. They provide small classes for community members and fire departments on things such as CPR. They encourage schools to drop by the airport on career days and are always excited to answer any questions the children may ask. Lisa comments that they are extremely proud of being awarded such an award, reports Weatherford College Messenger.
