Wednesday saw a fatal crash of one of Germany’s Tiger helicopters, which killed two of its crew members in Mali. The German defence ministry sent four Tiger helicopters to Mali as part of a U.N peacekeeping project. The helicopters were not shot down or brought down by attack and indications show there might have been technical factors that brought the one down. The German Defence Ministry is defending the performance of the helicopters and have sent a team of military officials to review the flight data recorder, reports Reuters.
