Ornge has had an increase of staff absences, leaving many bases closed across the province. The minimum amount of staff required are two pilots and two paramedics. If one of these four do not come in, the helicopter is not allowed to be used. Low morale and pilot poaching has been brought up as reasons as to why there is such a spike in staff absenteeism, reports Toronto CTV News.
