The Haines Assembly has decided against their initial decision on opening a new heliskiing area in the Takhinsha Mountains. This came after The Department of Fish and Game made a point that opening the heliskiing area would disrupt the habitats of mountain goats and bears. A location that is both safe to animals and skiers is being searched for, reports KHNS FM.
