Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) has signed a R250 million contract with AgustaWestland for the manufacture, supply and delivery of two new AW109 helicopters. These helicopters will be used in Durban and Richards Bay, in their Helicopter Marine Pilotage Service. South Africa is one of the three countries in the world that offer this service. The purchase falls under their Helicopter Replacement Programme, reports 5 Star Durban.
