Axnes, the leader in airborne and special mission wireless intercom systems, has announced expansion into a new market segment. Several customers in the aerial firefighting and utility industries including US Special Operations Command (SOCOM), Norwegian Air Ambulance and Norwegian Police and the Turkish Air Force, have recently selected Axnes PNG wireless ICS products. Over the last two years, Axnes has successfully introduced their MP50 and MP30 handheld transceiver systems to this underserved technology segment. The waterproof MP50 and the smaller water resistant MP30 have wide-ranging features, such as full-duplex transmission and reception, built-in noise and echo cancelling, GPS positioning, NVG compatibility, along with secure proprietary waveform and protocol technology and standard AES256 encryption. Both devices are encased in rugged water and dust resistant aircraft grade aluminum cases. The PNG systems also provide for common headset and microphone connections, along with a 20G certified charging cradle that integrates into aircraft, marine or ground vehicle platforms. PNG features a battery life of up to 15 hours of continuous operation or 40 hours of standby time.
