The Marine Corps has begun their plans to develop and build a large unmanned aircraft that will be able to launch off ships. They hope that the MUX (Marine Air Ground Task Force Unmanned Aircraft System-Expeditionary) will be able to not only launch vertically off ships, but fly with a 9,500 pound payload, provide air support and escorting the V-22 aircraft. Completion of the aircraft is scheduled for 2034, reports Military.
