The Royal Norwegian Air Force has decided that their 14 NH90 helicopters will be used for both naval and coastguard operations. This came after a study performed by Norway’s FFI defence research institute. They are aiming to use the aircraft for both operations by 2022, reports Flight Global. This should ensure that they generate 5,400h flight hours per year that would support border protection and ASW operations.
