Boeing is working on a compound version of their AH-64E Apache Guardian. They are calling it the AH-64E Block 2 Compound. This gunship will have a revised engine exhaust arrangement, a larger main wing as well as a vertical tail fin. They may feature a rigid motor system. With the revised configuration Boeing is expecting a helicopter with longer range, that is faster yet also more fuel efficient, reports The Drive.
