The Irish Coast Guard SAR plan to take industrial action on Thursday. They will be working a fixed roster of six days at work, with three days off. The company is operated under contract by CHC, which received an issue of notice of industrial action from Ialpa, a branch of the Fórsa trade union. The employees plan to continue working the fixed pattern roster until the entire roster dispute is fixed. They say that the company relies too heavily on overtime in order to finish all work, reports Irish Times.
