The FAA has had to plan a revamp of oversight of aircraft manufacturing. This comes after the US Transportation Department’s inspector general commented that their department found several years’ worth of oversight process weaknesses. Concern was raised after the crash in Ethiopia which resulted in the grounding of all Boeing 737 Max aircrafts. A committee is being formed to review the FAA’s procedures for the certification of new aircraft, as well as the Boeing 737 Max reports Air Traffic Management.
