Bowmanville Hospital has not had a function helipad since their air ambulance service was suspended in September. This came after a landing caused damage and an injury. The wind from landing and taking off causes objects to blow around in the surrounding houses by the hospital helipad. Especially since Ornge has begun using larger helicopters. Bowmanville has now been given approval for the redevelopment of new helipad which will be larger, reports Durham Region.
