
Northstar Aerospace, Inc. (“Northstar”), a portfolio company of Wynnchurch Capital, LLC (“Wynnchurch”), announced that it has appointed Scott Burdick as Chief Executive Officer, and that Dave McConnaughey will be retiring and transitioning to a board role.
“We are extremely appreciative of Dave’s service to the Company. While we are proud of what we accomplished, we are excited about the strong growth opportunities that lie ahead for Northstar under Scott’s leadership.”
Mr. McConnaughey has been the Chief Executive Officer of Northstar since 2012. Frank Hayes, Managing Partner at Wynnchurch, said, “We are extremely appreciative of Dave’s service to the Company. While we are proud of what we accomplished, we are excited about the strong growth opportunities that lie ahead for Northstar under Scott’s leadership.”
With more than 25 years of experience within the aerospace industry, Mr. Burdick is a seasoned executive with strong leadership and manufacturing expertise in complex, mission critical components. His career spans multiple sub-verticals within the industry at companies including Precision Castparts, TECT Aerospace, and UTC Aerospace Systems (now Collins Aerospace).
