
HAL has recently organised a workshop where they invited Indian private investors, in the hopes of co-producing their AHL Dhruv. Invitees included Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers, ASSOCHAM, Karnataka State Development Council, CII and Karnataka Udyog Mitra. A Request for Quotation was issued in April of this year, stating that the selected partner will be held to carry out support for the full 20 years of the product. In order to qualify as a partner, HAL has specified that the company needs to have five years aerospace and engineering experience, a minimum turnover of Rs 2,500 crore as well as a net worth of Rs 2,000 crore, reports Deccan Herald.
