Airbus announced today that Dwayne Charette has been appointed President of Airbus Helicopters Canada Limited, in addition to his role as Chief Operating Officer. He succeeds Romain Trapp, who has assumed the role of President of Airbus Helicopters Inc. and Head of the North America Region for helicopters.
“We have a very strong team in place for Airbus Helicopters Canada – one that positions the company for an exciting next chapter,” said Ben Bridge, Executive Vice President Global Business for Airbus Helicopters. “In a year when Airbus Helicopters is celebrating 35 years of being an integral part of the Canadian aerospace industry, Dwayne possesses the experience and strategic agility necessary to lead the company toward continued growth and success in Canada.”
Charette brings a vast amount of experience within Airbus, having worked for the Canadian helicopter division for sixteen years. He has held a variety of positions, including Director of Global Supply Chain and Manufacturing, as well as Head of North America Regionalization for Airbus’ helicopter division.

Charette is a graduate of The Ivey Executive Program at Western University and holds the professional designation of Certified Supply Chain Management (CSCMP).
