Vislink Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: VISL) announces that it has received an order with an approximate value of $117,000 from a Mid-Atlantic municipal police organization for airborne downlink equipment. The order is in addition to the recently received $3 million in new orders and order backlog amounts that were announced on Nov. 6, 2019. The order fulfills part of a statewide project to upgrade coverage for law enforcement operations, with the potential for additional downlink equipment purchases to enhance the client’s current system.

The order covers equipment used to receive real-time, high-definition video captured from airborne units, the TSM-2020 transport stream management system, and related components and services. An essential part of the Vislink Airborne Video Downlink System (AVDS), the TSM-2020 is used to collect, aggregate and distribute video captured from a single or multiple receive site applications. The TSM-2020 extends access to critical situational video to an unlimited number of observers, who can view the video over any network connection.

“A growing number of military and law enforcement agencies are upgrading their airborne platforms to stay current with technologies that can benefit their operations,” said John Procacci, Vice President of Sales for Vislink Technologies. “There is an ongoing need for reliable, robust, fully-integrated solutions to provide ground personnel with strategic and tactical overviews of their missions. We engineered the AVDS with precisely these requirements in mind. We are proud to have the ongoing trust of this client and the many others actively using our systems for the critical work they do in and for their communities.”
