Following a Royal Decree in Spain, Helity has been forced to suspend operations for all flights for the time being. The company will continue maintance provision, and their helicopters will be available to the authorities as required. They have even said their email is closed too, which seems unexpected in today’s connected world.
Helity runs three scheduled routes.
- Ceuta – Algeciras is a 7 minute flight, compared to 1 hour by boat
- Ceuta – Malaga is a 25 minute flight, compared to over 3 hours by boat and road
- Ceuta – Melilla is a 60 minute flight, against 6 hours on the road
The company flies three Leonardo AW139 helicopters
