Three Texas Parks and Wildlife employees died in the accident as they surveyed the landscape for desert bighorn sheep. The pilot, who was a private contractor for the state agency, was taken to El Paso for medical treatment. The victims were named by Texas Parks and Wildlife as Wildlife Biologist Dewey Stockbridge, Fish and Wildlife Technician Brandon White, and State Wildlife Veterinarian Dr. Bob Dittmar
