Avidyne Corporation, a leading provider of integrated avionics systems, flight displays, and safety systems for general aviation aircraft, business jets and helicopters announced that Europe’s popular SkyDemon Flight Planning Software is now compatible with the IFD Series of FMS/GPS/NAV/COMs.
“Integrated wireless connectivity provides a powerful conduit for adding functionality and expanding the capabilities and utility of our IFD products, and SkyDemon is yet another example,” said Avidyne CEO Dan Schwinn. “We have a large installed base of IFD owners across Europe and we are happy to now have SkyDemon available as a wireless solution for them.”

Avidyne IFD550/IFD540/IFD440 are industry-leading FMS/GPS navigators that provide easy-to-use Hybrid Touch and Page & Tab user interface, Synthetic Vision, as well as integrated WiFi and Bluetooth® connectivity. Current IFD App compatibility includes ForeFlight®, Seattle Avionics FlyQ, FltPlanGo, AvPlan, Cloud Ahoy, OzRunways in Australia, SkyDemon in Europe, with more to follow.
The Avidyne IFDs are compatible with SkyDemon Version 3.14.3 (or later).
