On Feb. 25, HAI announced the slate of candidates for this year’s election to the HAI Board of Directors. Of the six candidates, two will be chosen for the position of director to represent the commercial helicopter operator segment for a term of three years beginning Jul. 1, 2021.

The six candidates are:

• Michelle Diamond, Chief Pilot, Sundance Helicopters, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
• Michael Garfield, Director of Aviation, Total Traffic & Weather Network, Federal Way, Washington, USA
• Brian Jorgenson, Chief Operating Officer, Timberline Helicopters, Sandpoint, Idaho, USA
• Rick Kenin, Chief Operating Officer, Boston MedFlight, Bedford, Massachusetts, USA
• Eugene “Gene” Reynolds, Assistant Chief Pilot, Life Flight Network, Aurora, Oregon, USA
• Michael “Yippy” Yip, Director of Maintenance, Becker Helicopter Services Pty Ltd, Marcoola, Queensland, Australia

The election will be conducted exclusively online, with electronic ballots containing additional information about each candidate sent to voting representatives beginning Mar. 8, 2021. The online election site will close at 5:00 pm eastern (UTC-4) on Mar. 22, 2021.

The voting process is important, so we encourage all eligible voters—those individuals who are the designated member representative for an HAI helicopter operator member company—to participate.
