Airbus will take part in the 13th International Helicopter Industry Exhibition HeliRussia 2021, which will be held May 20-22 at Crocus Expo in Moscow. At the stand (pavilion 1, hall 3) the company will show a light single-engine helicopter H125, owned by a private customer.

The H125 outperforms all other single engine helicopters in its class in performance, versatility and safety. The model holds several records. In 2005, the helicopter set an unbeaten world record by taking off and landing on Mount Everest at a level of 8,850 meters. In 2013, H125 successfully completed the highest mountain rescue operation in Lhotse, the fourth highest mountain in the world located in the Himalayas at 7,800 meters.

“The H125 is a versatile helicopter that can be used for most aviation missions. Its high reliability, low operating costs and comfort make it a reliable workhorse. Today in Russia there are about 80 machines in operation, ”said Dmitry Perepelkin, head of the Airbus helicopter division in Russia.

The world park numbers more than 1000 H125, many of them in harsh climatic conditions, since the model is adapted for operation in high altitude and hot climates. The H125 is used for a variety of applications including firefighting, power line monitoring, aerial work, aerial video, medical transportation, law enforcement and exploration, and more.

The H125 helicopters are powered by Safran Arriel 2D gas turbine engines with a FADEC dual-channel digital engine control system. Advanced safety technologies reduce pilot workload with the VEMD® multifunction display system, designed specifically for Airbus helicopters.

The H125 is part of the Ecureuil (French for squirrel) family of helicopters. In total, the company has delivered more than 4,000 machines of this family to more than 1,500 customers in 120 countries. The total flight time of Ecureuil helicopters in the world exceeded 28 million hours.

The Airbus booth will also house the Airbus Corporate Helicopters (ACH) area, which will feature the H160 twin-engine helicopter model. This helicopter is considered one of the most modern in the world today: during development, Airbus received 68 patents. Composite materials are widely used on the helicopter; The new generation Safran Arrano turboshaft engines have been specially developed for this model. The design features blue-edge blades with boomerang tips and the signature Fenestron tail rotor for quieter, more comfortable and more efficient flight. The helicopter is capable of staying in the air for more than 4 hours without refueling and even at a speed of under 300 km / h provides a smooth flight like a business jet.
